Aug 14, 2022 · 43x mos return to battery failures. My 43x is having problems. Many shots slide feels sluggish and slow. Several times it didn't ho into battery. This is with oem mags and 124 grain ammo. I don't remember when this gin was new and running irons. Have a 507k on it now. Of course it's an mos model and should run regardless. Handguns. Glock fixed that w/ a newer, softer connector, and the overly stiff trigger problem on the 42/43 pistols pretty much went away. On top of that, Glocks are, as you know, "Bin" pistols, as in all parts are snap together w/ no hand fitting there-of, and on occasion, you get a Glock out of the box w/ a really cruddy trigger.So I assembled a G43 today and took it out for function test. Not great. Having problems with the firing pin not resetting and causing fail to feed - it sometimes sticks out of the breech face and the next round hangs up on it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Primer strikes are inconsistent - some are pretty deep, some are pretty shallow.

Pull trigger, boom, slide cycles, ejects old case, feeds new case and chambers it. Trigger stays completely back. Then it started doing it about every 50 rounds or so.Compact, light, portable, and easily concealed, the GLOCK 43 gave us seven shots with GLOCK reliability. I've had the gun since March, and have put 300 rounds through it, with three different magazines. Today was the second "fail to feed." It didn't jam, but when I tried to fire it, it was like dry firing.

Adding my experience. Two Glock 43x. Glock store extended controls and mag release. Two S15 mags. Based on the 'bumps' photo above I guess mine are Gen 2. Both magazines in both Glock's have the same failures. 1. Failure to feed on slide release. 2. Failure to eject round one. The 43X doesn't have that kind of versatility. The grip size is the grip size, you can't make it any smaller.The 43x is designed to give people a single stack 9mm Glock option with a longer grip and higher capacity than the 43. They have a 43 and a 48, and if you swap the slides, you have a 43x. Im usually more into the longer barrel and shorter grip for a carry gun, but a lot of people like longer grip and shorter barrel, so they sell that.

BUT it will swell the top of the mag just enough that it puts pressure on the mag release making it not work right and not hold the mag in either. Who knew! 🤷🏻‍♂️.
