TOS is the gold standard IMHO for options trading and has a lot more features than the stripped-down TW (again, some want stripped down). You will find TOS has a learning curve but is well worth it once you get the hang of it. Yes, .65 to open and .65 to close for $1.30 total compared to $1 total for TW.

They created both thinkorswim and tasty works (both brokers/software). They built the platforms for the way that they trade, and the way they trade is quite simple and mechanical but it is honestly the most sensible and straight forward to trade.
