The reset is for the priority access program. For 2 weeks after the reset you get priority to 'high pay' orders (whatever that is in your market) regardless of your AR. After 2 weeks you need 50% AR to get priority on those orders, or 70% for 'more' priority. None of that has anything to do with top dasher or dash anytime.

As with many things DoorDash, it depends on your zone. I would imagine that a high acceptance rate would help if your area was so saturated with drivers, or starved for orders, that you and another dasher could potentially be equally distant from a restaurant when DD sends out the order.
